TOP 5 TREND PIECES FROM: ‘NOTICE ME PRINTS’

With a mixture of florals, unconstructed geometrics and ikat prints; I have chosen five pieces that caught my eye on this years Spring/Summer 2010 runway.

When looking through the trend reports, it felt as if I was analysing some sort of art work featured in the Tate Modern gallery. It was Art at its best!

Many do not see fashion as an art form which uneases me so much simply because to create something you have to have a vision, a passion and in most cases an inspiration behind what you produce; which all artist have.
Take Mary Katrantzou for example, she was inspired by the swirling lines on perfume bottles and from this, created the perfect dress acting as a modern day silouette whilst maintaining the bold shoulders.
